New York City

She's finally coming home - my creativity - I can feel her.

She finally might just be in New York City.

2017

I have shot about five or six frames this week. To the old me this would be absolutely nothing. To the new me this is something. It is better than the zero frames I have shot in previous weeks.

This is a small selection of images I shot my first year back in America. A small selection from an already small pool to choose from. To me they feel like whispers of a previous life or delusions of a future that won't arrive. This was 2017.

2019

Six years later and I find myself right back where I started.

My "new" website, as referenced in the post below, served me well. I was very happy with her for a very long time, but I have realized that I really missed writing. I missed sharing my process and I missed telling the stories of my images. Sure I could have just started incorporating that element in to the website that I had built for myself however, I have had a lot of change over the last few years and I wanted another change for my photos too. I wanted to take them back to where I started and hope that I find the hunger for images that I had back in 2013.

Fingers crossed I find my magic again. Fingers crossed you enjoy being along for the ride.

Until I get my shit together enough to share new work, please enjoy the photo that proved to me that I truly do have my head in the clouds.

Too much

I guess this is what happens when you leave your film in lemon juice for too long..

But, of course I still like it.

So, is it too much? I don't think so!

Mas

More pictures of Wollongong, more pictures of bikes, and more destroyed film. These are some of the out takes from the photos I took for Papergirl Wollongong. I will be sharing the photos that were selected for the upcoming Papergirl posters as they are released (I have posted one already to take a look back!). I am very excited about this project and will be sharing photos, news and opportunities about the street art movement in Wollongong as they happen!

These photos were taken on the same roll of destroyed film as my previous posts (Lucky 200 destroyed with lemon juice and hot water) and the same SLR (Pentax Spotmatic).

Summer daze

Flower from behind my ear.

Short walks to duck under the waves.

All on a beautiful day.

All captured on a Hanimex and Lucky 200.
